Canon Character Information
Appearance: Remus is thin and tall, with light brown, slightly shaggy hair. He looks a few years older than he truly is, due to the stressful life he has lived. Possibly the most striking feature of his are the scars that run across his face and any visible skin.

Personality: Remus has always been a very lonely person. When he was a child he wasn't allowed to hang out with other children for fear of letting them know about his lycanthropy. Even after being admitted to Hogwarts and meeting James, Sirius, and Peter, there was always a part of him that knew this was likely it. They might be caring and understanding of his illness - and boy were they ever understanding - but the chance of finding someone else in the wizarding world who would stand to be around him. As such, he is fiercely loyal to his friends as well as Professor Dumbledore for allowing him this chance at a decent life. Sometimes however, this loyalty may not be expressed in the best way. Throughout school, despite even being a prefect, Remus never tried hard enough to pursuade the other boys from some of their ... rowdier, we'll say, antics. There were times of course that he would make a feeble attempt, but he never really pushed hard enough out of fear they might become fed up and stop hanging out with him. This isn't to say that the boy didn't get up to his own mischief as well. He fully enjoyed most of the adventures he and the other Marauders had together. Remus definitely isn't all rules and no fun. On the contrary, he can be quite silly and goofy in his own way. This is partially what drew James and Sirius to him in their first year. As JK Rowling herself put it, Remus has a "quiet sense of humour". His jokes may not be as big and flashy as James' or Sirius', but he does find ways to have his fun. Another trait of his that endeered him to James and Sirius is his kindness. Instead of filling him with hate, the mistreatment he received from the world filled him with a sense that it is better for one to be kind. He tends to try to help the underdog, whether that means a student who is struggling or a magical species being forced to follow stupid, unjust laws. After all, as a werewolf he would know all about that. In conversations he usually will be more reserved and quiet. The less attention he can draw to himself the better. If people don't notice him, they won't catch on to him being sick and very tired around each full moon. He can exist in wizarding society and hold a job if nobody notices enough to figure out he is a werewolf. Because, as has been proven time and time again, the vast majority of magical society will often even refuse to speak with him once they find out.

Powers/Abilities/Talents: Remus has all of the skills that come along with any other wizard. He has his skills and opportunities for improvement just as anyone would. He's a little better at handling creatures like boggarts, a little less skilled at potions, to name a few. Being a werewolf he also has the unfortunate 'talent' of becoming a wolf every full moon. During this time, he loses control of his mind and would attack any human he encounters. His friends are able to help him remain slightly more lucid when in their animal forms, but he still likes making sure he transforms in places he knows will be safe.
